Challenge
A growing travel operator needed one system for live flight inventory, customer management, invoicing, and day-to-day agency operations—instead of juggling separate airline portals, spreadsheets, and disconnected finance tools.
Case study
Travel ERP and booking portal with live airline APIs, GDS search, reservations, invoicing, and CRM-built with the ninsols.com team.
Nexus Travels ERP & Booking Portal is a full travel-agency platform built so operators can search live flights, complete reservations, manage customers, and run finance from a single system. I worked on this project as part of the engineering team at ninsols.com, and I’m sharing it here on thalnexus.com as a core piece of my travel-technology portfolio.
Travel agencies often lose time and accuracy when booking tools, airline sites, CRM, and accounts live in different places. Nexus Travels needed end-to-end workflows: live airline inventory, passenger booking, customer records, invoicing, and operational reporting—without forcing staff to jump between portals for every carrier.
The goal was practical: one operational system that feels fast for agents, reliable for finance, and flexible enough to support multiple airlines and distribution channels.
We delivered an ERP-style booking portal that connects directly to major airline and GDS sources, then folds those bookings into invoicing, vouchering, CRM, and reporting. Core airline integrations include:
Beyond flights, the platform also supports hotel inventory (DOTW/UHI), travel insurance issuance, quotations, client/party management, leads and tasks, multi-branch access control, and full financial modules—chart of accounts, payment vouchers, reconciliation, receivables/payables, and standard reports such as ledger, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet.
Agents can run a unified flight search that merges results across providers, then move through pricing, passenger details, hold, ticketing, PNR retrieve, and cancellation/void where the airline allows it. Service charges and commissions are handled inside the booking flow so commercial rules stay consistent with operations.
Because inventory comes from both NDC and GDS channels, the portal can serve domestic and international routes without forcing agents to learn a different process for every airline.
A booking engine alone is not enough for a travel business. This project ties reservations into the back office:
That combination is what turns “a flight search UI” into a real travel ERP.
The backend is built on ASP.NET Core with a clean layered architecture (domain, application services, infrastructure, and MVC/admin surfaces), using SQL Server with Entity Framework Core and Dapper for reporting-heavy queries. Airline connectivity uses SOAP/XML and NDC-style APIs, with structured logging around provider calls so production issues are easier to diagnose. Supporting services include identity and role permissions, notifications, cloud file storage, and payment/communication integrations where configured.
This was a collaborative delivery with ninsols.com. On the team, I contributed to the travel booking and airline-integration side of the product—working through real provider APIs, reservation lifecycles, and the operational flows that agencies use every day. Portfolio pieces like this matter because they reflect shipped systems under live commercial constraints, not demos built in isolation.
With the portal live, Nexus Travels can:
Travel technology succeeds when integrations are boringly reliable and the day-to-day agent experience is simple. Nexus Travels ERP & Booking Portal shows how multi-airline APIs, GDS connectivity, and ERP finance can sit in one product—and how a focused engineering team at ninsols.com can deliver that for a real operator.
If you’re building a travel booking engine, airline API layer, or agency ERP, this is the kind of work I do at Thal Nexus.
A growing travel operator needed one system for live flight inventory, customer management, invoicing, and day-to-day agency operations—instead of juggling separate airline portals, spreadsheets, and disconnected finance tools.
As part of the ninsols.com team, I helped design and deliver an ERP and booking portal that unifies real-time airline APIs (FlyJinnah, Airblue, PIA, Emirates, Serene Air) with TravelPort GDS, plus hotels, insurance, CRM, and full accounting workflows on ASP.NET Core and SQL Server.
Agents can search, book, ticket, and manage reservations in one place; finance posts automatically with invoicing and vouchers; and the business runs multi-carrier operations with clearer reporting and less manual work.
